Baartmans & Siegel S/S '14

1st Show of day 3 and again it was an early start today was the day that I had 4 shows so it meant a lot of running around and a lot of london taxi's argh!!!!

The theme for the show was South Pacific Aviation, with make up references taken from The Talented Mr Ripley. The faces were kept clean, fresh and healthy looking. The skin was slightly bronzed, with well moisturised lips which we added a hint of pink lipstick to, groomed brows and lashes, and nude liner in the waterline with highlight in the inner corner of the eye to open up the eyes.

The presentation took place amongst potted plants, while the models wore raw silk, summer shorts and knits - it looked great was a fab start to our day!

The makeup for the show was clean and fresh skin using the BBU pallet with a tiny bit of bronzer on the cheeks to give a bronzed feel we curled the lashes and added a little clear mascara and to finish the look we added little white shadow in the inner corner of the eye.

YMC SS14

Up Bright an early and on to the 2nd day of Mens Collections today I was back at the old sorting office heading the team for the YMC show.....

The makeup for this show was clean and fresh, We were using OCC skin tint backstage very lightweight foundation perfect for this minimal look.

This Spring Summer, the YMC collection utilises the brand’s signature blend of relaxed tailoring with an unmistakably playful edge. A minimal silhouette is offset by electrifying prints; combining the classic with the utterly modern – redefining the use of colour, print and texture as a tenet of the modern, masculine aesthetic.

Spencer Hart SS14

Off to another show we go and this time it was Spencer Hart.

The show was at the old sorting office BFC Showspace, a big warehouse-type building which is a very cool venue for shows!

The make up for the show was kept minimal but matte and flawless and shine free.....

I made sure that the team was armed with mattifier and powder puffs to keep down the shine...

Spencer Hart said that his whole inspiration comes from music, particularly James Brown - which is what the models walked to, it was very fun and crazy and funky cool backstage The audience loved it - and Alice  the team manager spotted Dermot O'Leary and Reggie Yates on the he front row ;p

John Smedley Mens Collections SS14

Mens Collections has crept up on us again and boy what a crazy 3 days I had, its seems like my shows were never ending but I'm not complaining ;p

I started off the LC: M bright an early for John Smedley it was my 2nd season heading the makeup for this collection and this year it was clean fresh and bronzed skin using a combination of NARS creamy counselors to touch up any redness and blemishes a little tinted moisturizer and NARS bronzers to warm up the skin.

The look was athletic leaving a little dew on the skin I really loved this show it was a nice way to start off a manic few days....

big love to the AOFM pro team for all there hard work.

Graduate Fashion Week 2013 (with Rimmel & AOFM pro)

Earier on this month I was lucky enough to be asked by AOFM pro & Rimmel to Design the looks backstage and head the teams for this years graduate fashion week 2013.

It was a mammoth task to take on we created over 30 looks for 600 plus graduate collections that featured in 24 amazing catwalk shows.

Set over 4 days our strong team of 26 created and executed beautiful catwalk looks
it was all about a dewy glow keeping the models skin fresh and youthful , the looks ranged from gold smokey eyes, crazy dolly lips to technicolor liners and shadows.

Another firm favorite backstage was the rimmel apocalips highly pigmented liquid lip colors perfect to give pop to any look ... we saw bold Bright Orange, Fuchsia pink, classic red and deep cherry lips gracing the catwalks.

It was intense with 7 shows a day and 100s of models in and out of makeup but as always the tight nit teamwork payed off, we all had a fantastic time and were blown away from by the amazing graduate collections.

The makeup we created for the winner of the gold award at Graduate fashion week "Lauren Smith"  was a bold block color liner in 3 shades Pink, Green and Blue we thought it was fun and funky and complemented her collection very well.

I just want to say a huge thank you to AOFM PRO & Rimmel I had a amazing 4 days backstage it was so much fun :)

Also big love and props to my 1st assistants, backstage manager and the amazing AOFM PRO team.
