MAGPIE.....

Okay so its not that often that I get to talk about my film work on this blog every now and then a little post pops up its head.........

But unknown to some of you I started of my makeup journey in film you can see a couple of the other film projects i have worked on my IMDB - or even read a couple of blog posts below

Michelle Webbs Film Credits

Around this time last year I packed my makeup kit and headed down to wales/cornwall with a bunch of my talented film maker friends and actors to make MAGPIE

It tells the tragic story of a negligent young father who returns to town for his 9-year-old, shark-obsessed son’s funeral. An unwelcome guest, he steals the coffin and finds himself on the road with the child’s mother and two friends.
What follows is a journey with no destination, just a desperate desire not to return. Shot on location in London, Cornwall and Price’s native Swansea without a script, Price instead opted to workshop scenes with the actors based on a carefully designed structure

Marc Price a close friend of mine directed the piece and it comes under his production company

The makeup was pretty simple esp compared to the last project I worked on with Marc "Colin" a zombie movie that kinda took the press by storm back in 2009/2010 but Marcs sheer enthusiasm and love for film making always gets me back on set pretty much for any film he makes.

Really i'm honoured to be part of something so timeless something that means so much to everyone involved and also im honoured to be part of our little film family :)

Britain and Irelands Next Top Model LIVE 2011 & 2012

I have been working backstage with AOFM and the cast for Britain and Irelands Next Top Model LIVE for over a year now and realised that I have never posted a blog about the amazing times we have had backstage :)

We first started working on the event back in 2011 in october when BNTML was its own 3 day event and held at excel, I had the pleasure of having a big team of 15 artists working backstage on the models and the dancers and even had my birthday backstage and the whole team brought me a cake :) yummy

This year the AOFM team and I have gone on to work on the BINTML press day at the hospital club and the new 5 day event that has now joined with the clothes show live in Birmingham..... we all heading down to brummy and stayed in a hotel for 5 days and become a nice little family.

I thought I would post a few videos and photos from the last year working with the girls and with the AOFM team backstage enjoy x

2011

The look for the 2011 show at excel was classic with a dark smokey eye and classic red lips and nails for al the girls :)

We used Makeup Forever HD foundation and OCC lip tar to create the perfect glam look.

2012

Press Day At The Hospital Club London

I explain the look in the video below haha ;p

2012

Clothes Show Love Event "BINTML STAGE"

The look kind of took on a progression over the 5 days wile were in birmingham starting  with a more classic red lip on the 1st day then on the 2nd day I decided to go for a deeper two tone lip in the end that is bang on tred with a deep black cherry lipstick... we used diva from MAC mixed with an OCC lip tar in black dahlia to create the perfect shade... we then used HD foundation from Makeup Forever buffed in with a little bobbie Brown BBU pallet... to finish the skin we used a peach blush and mac soft and gentle as a highlight flawless.... they eyes were kept simple with a sweep of champaign and a light contour on the socket in a warm honey brown.

On the last day as it was coming up to the festive period we jazzed things up and went for a bold classic red glitter lip for all the girls it was lots of fun and we all love a bit of glitter so why not ;p

I have really enjoyed the last two years working with the AOFM & BINTML teams hope you enjoy the post xxx

Xander Zhou AW13 Mens Collections

The last mens show for me but of course not the bit least was the Xander Zhou Show Closing the shows at the hospital club venue.......

I met Xander Earlier on in the week for a Makeup test at his london based studio and he is such a lovely and sweet guy, It was the 1st time I had worked with him so I was excited to see the show come together.

We had 24 models for his show to get ready and although makeup was very simple because of the  previous shows running behind we only had just 1.20 mins to get them all ready (CRAZY)

At this point i was running from the sorting office for matthew millers show and the hospital club for xanders show think I must of looked like a crazy woman :-0

The makeup for Xanders show was very minimal and really was all about the skin care products Xander wanted the skin to be dewey and fresh without having the models looks too perfect he still wanted to see the natural blush of models skin..... we used the shu uemura youthful radiance UV under base mousse the new mousse primer for

radiant, youthful looking skin and then a little touch of the BBU pallet on top no powder at all
This left the models look clean, dewy and super fresh for the catwalk.

Matthew Miller AW13 - Mens Collections

Matthew Millers show's just seem to get bigger and bigger each season and rightly so his collection's are always amazing and this season I LOVED this collection, Red and Black were a running theme with crocodile embossed leather hides worn over military wool suits I am no menswear expert but his collection this seasons has been my favs.....

This is the 3rd season I have worked with Matthew and His team and they are such a pleasure to work with always so friendly and lovely at the atmosphere backstage always seems to be clam ;p

The makeup was clean and fresh on the face with a little accent of red paint on the hands.... each models hands were painted different so there was no uniformity

Take a look at a few of the backstage images below

Thank you to the AOFM pro team for all there help x

My demo model Harry from AMCK models ready to hit the catwalk :) x
